The crash also left both passengers in each car hospitalized in critical condition. According to police, Kim was driving his 2021 Ford Mustang on East Lake Avenue at a speed of 131 mph in a 35-mph zone when collided with Niketic at an intersection - leaving the victim's silver Mercedes torn into half. Police say his blood alcohol content level was far beyond the legal limit.

Ontario woman Amanda Husk has just weeks to live after being denied a liver transplant by medics who cited her 'minimal abstinence' from alcohol as a reason to deny the transplant. Officials at University Health Network cited 'minimal abstinence from alcohol' outside hospital as a reason for the rejection. Husk's partner Nathan Allen said the situation was a 'wakeup call' and she had vowed to get help if she could get the transplant. He now plans to take her to Europe for the surgery if she survives that long.
